The winner of the 2009 Liberty Street Rods Scholarship is Christopher Thomas of Westminster. Christopher attended Winters Mill High School. He graduated with an A for his junior and senior year at Carroll County Career and Technology Center in the Auto Technology cirriculum. He also received a scholarship from Barns Service Center.
Below are the tools that were awarded to Christopher for the 2009 Liberty Street Rods Scholarship.

For the past four years, Liberty Street Rods has donated two $500.00 scholarships to the Carroll County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) in Westminster, Maryland. On May 31, 2006 Liberty Street Rods provided two new scholarships at an awards ceremony. The recipients for the 2006 scholarships were Taylor Barnes and Justin Mosley. Taylor is a graduate of Francis Scott Key High School and the Diesel Technology Program at CCCTC. Taylor received a $500.00 scholarship to attend the John Deere Ag Tech program at Northeast Iowa Community College. Justin is a graduate of North Carroll High School and is now a student in an Auto Service Technology program. Justin received the second scholarship that included $500.00 worth of tools. He is currently working in an automotive service job after school. The Liberty Street Rods is honored to present these two scholarships to Taylor and Justin, and we are extremely proud of their accomplishments. We wish them continued success in the future.
